Background
The Steel Circle originated as a D&D 3.0 adventuring party based in Ducky's created world. They were initially a 6-man party consisting of the basic classes of cleric, fighter, mage, and thief. As the adventure grew and experience gained some became enticed with the dark forces of the realm. This eventually led to the party's "demise".
With the new 3.5 rules and recent corebook offerings, the Steel Circle have transcended limbo and moved into the Forgotten Realm. Join them as they try to uncover the mystery of their past and a life they can no longer recall.
Finale
A long road lies behind but a short one ahead. Rumor has it the Steel Circle will meet their fate very soon. Be steadfast and prepared for what the future holds.
Encircling Future
What we know is a bleak future for the Steel Circle. Too much time has elapsed in the real world bringing a stale lifelessness to the realm. A final outting is planned for the near future.
Tombstone
I suggest taking a vote on whether we continue the Steel Circle campaign or not. Everyone's busy and probably will be a lot more busier in the future. The DM seems preoccupied with other things so my vote is to end it and move on. That means finish up the story as a final adventure or leave it unfinished and retire it.
Status Check
WORD is that the storyline for the Steel Circle is under construction. The DM just doesn't have the time to properly flesh out the next section. I'm sure there are several reasons for the delay with an obvious one being time. It takes a good amount of it to plan out the session with direct character interaction. But beyond that I'm sure a prime stress factor is the party's future.
Does the Steel Circle remain in a unique D&D 3.0 world? Should the party transition to Forgotten Realms (3.0 or 3.5)? Is there enough interest to continue the storyline? I'd be concerned as well if I had to allocate resources to this project.
Patience is probably the best path to take. All we can do is wait and see. And hope the battle continues... soon!
ANY day now...
The crew seems to be stuck in RPG limbo with no real sign of escape. I'm sure it'll happen sometime this year and hopefully soon. Sadly, the fate of the Silver Legion rests on the shoulders of the Steel Circle. There is no progression for SL until SC is wrapped up. Whether they actually meet or not is up in the ether.
Semi-familiar Habitat
Though ill fated to oblivion the Steel Circle has proven its worthiness at least for the moment. Upon careful deliberation an agreement is made once again placing the precariously maligned group deep into chaos. As problematic as that may appear, they push forward.
On this outting, the hulking Dian Wei is missing. His much needed strength semi-compensated by Errol due to magik. Dian Wei leaves without warning vanishing into the dark recesses of the corrupt castle. Can the remaining four bring an end to the nightmare?
The Steel Circle aloof and bespeckled with memory loss slowly regain their momentum and solidarity. Foes are crushed but only with much reservation and caution. They are not fools but both wary and weary of the grave path that lay ahead.
Undead, divine intervention, and great mysteries abound. As it seems, the game isn't quite over yet.
**Update**
The uncertainty of fate was certainly a possibility. No longer. We may yet witness a revival of sorts and return sanity to chaos! Stay tuned.
